First class company
There's a very good reason why this company has such a high trust pilot rating, and it's not because of bots or ai fake reviews!! It's nice to leave a good review for a genuinely well run and professional outfit. Firstly , they offer the best price. Secondly , no sucking in of air or false advertising, put in reg, they give you a price, simple.... The pick up driver Shaun was very polite, concise and to the point. From begining to end a good experience, and a well deserved reputation.

They do what they say they do. Excellent.
I was contacted well in advance regarding the collection of my vehicle. Steve the driver phoned me and asked if he could collect sooner than booked. This was OK with me. When he arrived he was friendly and courteous and because of the advanced notification, gave me time to have everything ready for the handover. The money was transferred to my account within minutes. A great service and one that I would recommend to anyone wanting to dispose of a vehicle.

Quick, easy, great service, decent price.
Organised it to be collected, driver (Tony) was in contact throughout the collection day to keep me posted. 10 minutes and I was paid and he was gone! Great service, Tony was very friendly and efficient. Definitely will use this service again in the future, been with WeBuyAnyCar a few times and for convenience, this blows them out of the water (all circumstantial of course). Couldn’t have asked for more, really helpful.

Scrap my car in Nottinghamshire FAQs

How much is my scrap car worth in Nottinghamshire?
Dropdown Icon

The average local scrap price is £269. Your car value depends on weight, condition, make, model, metal rates and reusable parts. Enter your car registration and postcode to see scrap car prices, check the price for your scrap and decide whether the offer gives you the best scrap car deal.

Do I need to be present for the collection in Nottinghamshire?
Dropdown Icon

No, you do not need to be present for collection in Nottinghamshire. You can nominate an adult aged 18 or over, provided they have access to the vehicle, photo ID and agreed paperwork. Tell us beforehand who will meet the driver so the handover can proceed securely locally.

Can I scrap a car without a V5C logbook?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can scrap a car without a V5C logbook. You will usually need photo ID, proof of address and evidence connecting you to the vehicle, such as an MOT certificate, receipt or service records. Extra ownership checks can take slightly longer before collection is approved.

Which areas of Nottinghamshire do you cover?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, we cover postcodes across Nottinghamshire, including Nottingham, Mansfield, Worksop, Newark-on-Trent, Retford, Gedling and Rushcliffe. Collection can be arranged from a home, workplace, driveway or another safe recovery point, so enter your postcode to confirm available options before booking collection for your vehicle today across Nottinghamshire.

How do I avoid scrap car scams in Nottinghamshire?
Dropdown Icon

Avoid cash-in-hand deals, unlicensed collectors and last-minute price drops to reduce the risk of scrap car scams in Nottinghamshire. Legitimate scrap payments should be made by bank transfer, not cash. Check who is collecting the vehicle, keep written confirmation of the agreed price, and make sure the disposal route is licensed. If a buyer changes the price without a valid reason or pressures you to accept cash, stop the handover. Keep copies of collection records and confirm what paperwork will follow after processing to protect yourself.

What documents do I need to scrap my car in Nottinghamshire?
Dropdown Icon

You normally need the V5C logbook, photo ID and proof of address. If the logbook is missing, collection may still be possible once alternative ownership evidence is checked. Service records or purchase documents can help support ownership. We explain what to prepare beforehand so the handover remains straightforward, secure and properly recorded before collection at your address.

Will I receive a Certificate of Destruction?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, a Certificate of Destruction is issued when the vehicle is scrapped and eligible. It confirms the car entered the end-of-life process, while DVLA notification helps remove the previous keeper from the official record and ends further responsibility completely.

Can I scrap a car with outstanding finance?
Dropdown Icon

No, outstanding finance normally needs to be settled before the vehicle is scrapped, unless the lender gives clear written permission. The finance company retains a legal interest until the agreement ends, so contact it for a settlement figure or consent before booking. We can explain what evidence should be ready before your collection day.

Do I need to provide keys for my car?
Dropdown Icon

No, you don't need to provide keys for your car. Missing keys are common and won't prevent collection or change the quoted price, because the vehicle can still be loaded with specialist equipment and its condition, not the presence of keys, is what decides the final price.

Can I scrap an electric or hybrid car in Nottinghamshire?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, electric and hybrid vehicles can be scrapped in Nottinghamshire. Battery electric cars, plug-in hybrids and mild hybrids can be collected, with high-voltage components handled through the approved treatment process. Tell us the vehicle type when requesting a quote so arrangements can be made.
