What’s happening in the non-runner car market?
Curious what your non-runner’s worth? Here’s what’s driving prices in the scrap market and what that means for you.

Updated August, 2025
Over 52% of all scrapped vehicles came from just five major manufacturers: Vauxhall, Ford, Volkswagen, Peugeot and Renault. These makes are among the most common on UK roads, which also means they’re frequently driven to the point of failure. When these vehicles become non-runners, parts scarcity or low resale value typically pushes owners to sell them for scrap.
