About me

Anthony Sharkey is the operational heartbeat behind Car.co.uk, Trader.co.uk and Garage.co.uk, the three platforms redefining how the UK sells, recycles and repurposes vehicles. As Chief Operating Officer of Car.co.uk, Anthony makes sure every customer experience runs like clockwork: fast, reliable and stress-free from the first click to vehicle collection.

With a background in logistics, recycling and digital transformation, Anthony has spent his career simplifying complex systems and building services people can genuinely rely on. He helped shape a customer-first model that delivers instant valuations, same-day or next-day collections and real-time updates to make the process of selling or scrapping a car as easy as sending a parcel.

Working side-by-side with CEO William Fletcher MBE, Anthony leads with a practical, hands-on approach to create teams that prize precision and care in equal measure. His focus on technology, transparency and service quality keeps Car.co.uk at the forefront of the UK’s vehicle recycling industry.

Before joining Car.co.uk, Anthony helped drive the national growth and expansion of Recycling Lives, a pioneering social enterprise that blends commercial success with community impact. His continued passion for sustainability (and for the roar of a classic car or sports bike) fuels his commitment to building a better, more responsible future for the automotive world.
