A Top-Tier Car Selling Experience
I just sold my car with Car.co.uk and I have to say, the whole process was incredibly smooth. I got an online quote, and everything went exactly as they said it would. The collection was scheduled at my house, which was super convenient. The driver was a true professional—they were not only efficient but also very kind. As soon as the car was collected, the payment landed in my bank account immediately, which was a fantastic surprise. I highly recommend Car.co.uk for anyone looking to sell their car without any hassle.

Outstanding service A*****
The process was very straightforward, the vehicle was collected on the day agreed - I received a call when the driver was 30 minutes away. The driver 'Darren' was knowledgeable and a complete professional. All inspections carried out, documents sorted and on his pick up in under 30 minutes. The money was processed to my bank very shortly after. Will definitely recommend and would not hesitate using your company again.

Very easy transaction.
Very easy transaction. Easy to book, collection person phoned to say exactly what time they were arriving. I just left him to it and collection took around 10 mins including taking photos of my id and the car. Sad to see my car go as its been a really good car but too much wrong with it now. Payment was not immediate, took around an hour and a half. No fuss, no sweat, very easy.

Highly recommended !!
Car.co.uk offered the best price by far out of all the sites I had got quotes from. The whole process was really easy to arrange and sort out a collection. I had a few enquiries and the different guys that I spoke to at customer enquiries was really friendly and helpful. I asked for an early/ first pick up and was told they would do their best. The night before I received a text asking if a 6:30am pick up would be possible. I agreed. Earlier the better for me. The morning of the pick up I had a call from the driver (John) who informed me he wasn’t far and sure enough he arrived on the agreed time. When he arrived he was so helpful and really friendly. The car was on the back of the lorry and paperwork sorted all within 15 mins. Can’t recommend these guys enough and I would definitely use again.

They do what they say they do. Excellent.
I was contacted well in advance regarding the collection of my vehicle. Steve the driver phoned me and asked if he could collect sooner than booked. This was OK with me. When he arrived he was friendly and courteous and because of the advanced notification, gave me time to have everything ready for the handover. The money was transferred to my account within minutes. A great service and one that I would recommend to anyone wanting to dispose of a vehicle.

Do I need to be present for the collection in Aberaeron?
Dropdown Icon

If you're spending the day exploring the colourful harbour or visiting the National Trust's Llanerchaeron estate, you can nominate another person aged 18 or over to meet the driver instead. They'll need access to the vehicle, the keys where available, and any required paperwork so the collection can be completed without any problems.

Can I scrap a car without a V5C logbook?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can usually scrap a car without a V5C logbook in Aberaeron. You'll normally need photo ID, proof of address, and supporting records such as MOT certificates or service history to help confirm ownership. Additional checks may be required, but we'll explain exactly what's needed before our car recycling services arrive so everything goes as smoothly as possible.

Can I scrap an electric or hybrid car in Aberaeron?
Dropdown Icon

What documents do I need to scrap my car in Aberaeron?
Dropdown Icon

Once the finance has been cleared, Car.co.uk can help you book the next available collection.

Can I scrap a SORN vehicle in Aberaeron?
Dropdown Icon

It must remain off public roads such as the A487 and be collected from a private driveway, garage, or another suitable off-road location. Once your vehicle has been processed, the Certificate of Destruction updates the DVLA record and the SORN status ends automatically. The same goes for a damaged car you might be in possession of.

Can I keep my private number plate before scrapping?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can keep your private number plate before your vehicle is scrapped, but you'll need to arrange retention or transfer through the DVLA first. This can be done online or by completing a V317 form, and the registration must be removed before a Certificate of Destruction is issued to ensure you keep the rights to your personalised plate. As the best place to scrap your car in Aberaeron, Car.co.uk will help as much as we can with paperwork and documentation.
