Outstanding service A*****
The process was very straightforward, the vehicle was collected on the day agreed - I received a call when the driver was 30 minutes away. The driver 'Darren' was knowledgeable and a complete professional. All inspections carried out, documents sorted and on his pick up in under 30 minutes. The money was processed to my bank very shortly after. Will definitely recommend and would not hesitate using your company again.

Highly recommended !!
Car.co.uk offered the best price by far out of all the sites I had got quotes from. The whole process was really easy to arrange and sort out a collection. I had a few enquiries and the different guys that I spoke to at customer enquiries was really friendly and helpful. I asked for an early/ first pick up and was told they would do their best. The night before I received a text asking if a 6:30am pick up would be possible. I agreed. Earlier the better for me. The morning of the pick up I had a call from the driver (John) who informed me he wasn’t far and sure enough he arrived on the agreed time. When he arrived he was so helpful and really friendly. The car was on the back of the lorry and paperwork sorted all within 15 mins. Can’t recommend these guys enough and I would definitely use again.

We received a very competitive quote…
We received a very competitive quote from Car.co.uk for my car and from the start they were very efficient with their quote which was easy to understand. After accepting their quote they kept me fully informed of the procedure and made it clear and simple. We agreed a collection date and they arrived on time with two polite and helpful driver and assistant and they loaded my car and left very quickly. The agreed price was paid by Car.co.uk and the money was in my Bank before the driver left. I would highly recommend this Company.

They do what they say they do. Excellent.
I was contacted well in advance regarding the collection of my vehicle. Steve the driver phoned me and asked if he could collect sooner than booked. This was OK with me. When he arrived he was friendly and courteous and because of the advanced notification, gave me time to have everything ready for the handover. The money was transferred to my account within minutes. A great service and one that I would recommend to anyone wanting to dispose of a vehicle.

Dropdown Icon

No, you don't have to be present in person when we collect your scrap car in Aberdeen. You can ask someone else to do so for you as long as they're aged 18 or over and have access to the vehicle. They'll also need all the relevant documents to ensure the handover goes ahead smoothly.

Can I scrap a car without a V5C log book?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you will still be able to scrap your car if it doesn't have a V5C log book. In its place, you'll need photo ID, proof of address and supporting paperwork like MOT certificates and service history. Dropdown Icon

Do I need to notify the DVLA when I scrap my car?
Dropdown Icon

No, Car.co.uk will automatically notify the DVLA when the CoD is processed. You just need to provide your V5C log book. Once issued, the Certificate of Destruction removes the previous owner from the register and ends further responsibility for that vehicle.

Dropdown Icon

If your vehicle complied with the Aberdeen Low Emission Zone, you might be eligible for a disposal grant.

Do I need to provide keys for my car?
Dropdown Icon

No, you don't have to have the keys for your car in order for us to collect and scrap it. Missing keys is a common issue, but they won't prevent our car recycling services or affect the quoted price. Your vehicle can still be loaded using specialist equipment, so it's just the condition of the car and its weight that matter, not if the keys are available.

Can I scrap a car with no MOT in Aberdeen?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, we scrap cars with no MOT in Aberdeen. MOT status doesn't affect scrap valuation or prevent free vehicle collection. The coastal air and winter road salt in Aberdeen often cause corrosion issues, brake and tyre wear and suspension problems, leading to MOT failures and making many vehicles in the area uneconomical to fix.
