Quick and Convenient Vehicle Scrappage
This was a quick and easy way to scrap our old vehicle. The online evaluation check was useful and produced a similar price to what we expected. It only took a few moments to book a collection date and time, and this was confirmed via text and email. On collection day I was texted further confirmation and called by the driver to inform of his eta. The driver was informative and professional. The purchase was accepted and the payment okayed, with the money transferred immediately. Overall, and great service and would recommend.

First class company
There's a very good reason why this company has such a high trust pilot rating, and it's not because of bots or ai fake reviews!! It's nice to leave a good review for a genuinely well run and professional outfit. Firstly , they offer the best price. Secondly , no sucking in of air or false advertising, put in reg, they give you a price, simple.... The pick up driver Shaun was very polite, concise and to the point. From begining to end a good experience, and a well deserved reputation.

Highly recommended !!
Car.co.uk offered the best price by far out of all the sites I had got quotes from. The whole process was really easy to arrange and sort out a collection. I had a few enquiries and the different guys that I spoke to at customer enquiries was really friendly and helpful. I asked for an early/ first pick up and was told they would do their best. The night before I received a text asking if a 6:30am pick up would be possible. I agreed. Earlier the better for me. The morning of the pick up I had a call from the driver (John) who informed me he wasn’t far and sure enough he arrived on the agreed time. When he arrived he was so helpful and really friendly. The car was on the back of the lorry and paperwork sorted all within 15 mins. Can’t recommend these guys enough and I would definitely use again.

A Top-Tier Car Selling Experience
I just sold my car with Car.co.uk and I have to say, the whole process was incredibly smooth. I got an online quote, and everything went exactly as they said it would. The collection was scheduled at my house, which was super convenient. The driver was a true professional—they were not only efficient but also very kind. As soon as the car was collected, the payment landed in my bank account immediately, which was a fantastic surprise. I highly recommend Car.co.uk for anyone looking to sell their car without any hassle.

Scrap my car in Newton Aycliffe FAQs

How much is my scrap car worth in Newton Aycliffe?
Dropdown Icon

The average price for a scrap car in Newton Aycliffe is £247. Your car value depends on weight, condition, make, model, current metal rates and reusable parts. You can enter your registration and postcode to compare live scrap car prices and decide whether the offer gives you the best scrap car deal and the right price for your scrap.

Do I need to be present for the collection in Newton Aycliffe?
Dropdown Icon

No, you do not need to be present when we collect your car in Newton Aycliffe. You may nominate an adult aged 18 or over, provided they have access to the vehicle, photo ID, keys if available and the agreed paperwork. Tell us beforehand so the handover can proceed securely.

Can I scrap a car without a V5C logbook?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can scrap a car without a V5C log book. You will usually need photo ID, proof of address and evidence connecting you to the vehicle, such as an MOT certificate, service record or purchase receipt. Ownership checks may take slightly longer before collection and payment are arranged.

Can I scrap a car with no MOT in Newton Aycliffe?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can scrap a car with no MOT in Newton Aycliffe. Its MOT status does not prevent valuation or free collection, provided the recovery driver has safe access. Brake, spring, tyre and lighting MOT failures can make another repair difficult to justify on an older vehicle.

Do you accept commercial vehicles in Newton Aycliffe?
Dropdown Icon

Panel vans, pick-ups and minibuses from Aycliffe Business Park or residential addresses use the same quote process: enter the registration number and postcode. Their greater kerb weight can sometimes produce a stronger recycling or salvage value.

What documents do I need to scrap my car in Newton Aycliffe?
Dropdown Icon

You normally need the V5C log book, photo ID and proof of address. If the log book is missing, other evidence of ownership may be accepted after checks. We confirm what to prepare before collection, keeping the transfer and vehicle disposal records straightforward at your Newton Aycliffe address.

Will I receive a Certificate of Destruction?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, a Certificate of Destruction is issued within seven days when the vehicle is scrapped and eligible. It confirms that the car entered the legal end-of-life process, while the DVLA update removes the previous keeper from the official record and ends further responsibility.

Can I scrap a car with outstanding finance?
Dropdown Icon

No, outstanding finance must be settled before a vehicle is scrapped unless the lender provides written consent. The finance company retains a legal interest, so contact it for a settlement figure or permission first. Once resolved, you can complete the quote and collection without unnecessary delays.

Which areas of Newton Aycliffe do you cover?
Dropdown Icon

We cover every Newton Aycliffe postcode, including Woodham, Simpasture, Aycliffe Village and School Aycliffe. Free collection is available from homes, workplaces, garages and other accessible locations, while nearby areas can also be checked during the online quote.
