Highly recommend - 10/10 service
Whole process was really easy and completely fuss free from start to finish. Entered my postcode and registration online and was given a price straight away without having to sign up to anything. The price offered was better than anywhere else. Selected a date and time that suited me for collection and booked in a matter of minutes. Really clear information was given about the collection process via email. Collection day arrived and the guy who came was really friendly. Quick check of the car, loaded onto the truck and received the money within minutes. I would highly recommend this company as it was so easy, no hidden terms and conditions and an all round great experience.

Quick, easy, great service, decent price.
Organised it to be collected, driver (Tony) was in contact throughout the collection day to keep me posted. 10 minutes and I was paid and he was gone! Great service, Tony was very friendly and efficient. Definitely will use this service again in the future, been with WeBuyAnyCar a few times and for convenience, this blows them out of the water (all circumstantial of course). Couldn’t have asked for more, really helpful.

Highly recommended !!
Car.co.uk offered the best price by far out of all the sites I had got quotes from. The whole process was really easy to arrange and sort out a collection. I had a few enquiries and the different guys that I spoke to at customer enquiries was really friendly and helpful. I asked for an early/ first pick up and was told they would do their best. The night before I received a text asking if a 6:30am pick up would be possible. I agreed. Earlier the better for me. The morning of the pick up I had a call from the driver (John) who informed me he wasn’t far and sure enough he arrived on the agreed time. When he arrived he was so helpful and really friendly. The car was on the back of the lorry and paperwork sorted all within 15 mins. Can’t recommend these guys enough and I would definitely use again.

Within no time he was here and very friendly and professional. Car was loaded and within 2 minutes of paperwork completed the money was in my account.

Scrap my car in Filton FAQs

How much is my scrap car worth in Filton?
Dropdown Icon

The average price paid in Filton is £238. Your car value depends on weight, condition, make, model, current metal values and reusable parts. Enter your car registration and postcode to see scrap car prices, check the price for your scrap and decide whether the offer gives you the best scrap car deal for your vehicle.

Do I need to be present for the collection in Filton?
Dropdown Icon

No, you do not need to be present for collection in Filton. You can nominate an adult aged 18 or over, provided they have access to the vehicle, photo ID and the agreed paperwork. Tell us beforehand so the handover can go ahead securely and the driver has everything needed to complete collection without delaying your booking.

Can I scrap a car without a V5C logbook?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can scrap a car without a V5C logbook. You will usually need photo ID, proof of address and evidence connecting you to the vehicle, such as an MOT certificate or purchase receipt. Ownership checks may take slightly longer before collection and payment can be approved.

What is the difference between scrapping and salvaging?
Dropdown Icon

Scrapping means the vehicle is dismantled and recycled mainly for material value, while salvaging means the whole car or usable parts still have resale value. Car.co.uk assesses both routes, including reusable components and salvage potential, so the vehicle can be handled in the way that gives the owner the strongest appropriate return without arranging separate buyers.

Do I need to provide keys for my car?
Dropdown Icon

No, you do not always need keys for your car. Missing keys are common and may not prevent collection, because specialist equipment can load many vehicles safely. Tell us when booking so the collector can confirm access requirements, prepare the right recovery equipment and avoid delays when arriving at your Filton address.

What documents do I need to scrap my car in Filton?
Dropdown Icon

You normally need the V5C logbook, photo ID and proof of address. If the logbook is missing, collection may still be possible once alternative ownership evidence is checked. We explain what to prepare before pickup so the handover remains straightforward, properly recorded and compliant at your Filton address without unnecessary delays.

Will I receive a Certificate of Destruction?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, a Certificate of Destruction can be issued when the vehicle is scrapped and eligible. It confirms the car entered the end-of-life process, while DVLA notification helps remove the previous keeper from the official record and ends further responsibility for it.

Can I scrap a car with outstanding finance?
Dropdown Icon

No, outstanding finance normally needs to be settled before the vehicle is scrapped, unless the lender provides clear consent. The finance company retains a legal interest until the agreement ends, so contact it for a settlement figure or written permission before arranging collection. Once that is resolved, the booking can move forward.

How does scrap car payment work?
Dropdown Icon

Payment is made by bank transfer, not cash. UK scrap metal rules prohibit cash payments for scrap vehicles, so the agreed amount is transferred securely. When the vehicle details match the booking, the quoted price is paid without a last-minute reduction, giving you a clear payment record and avoiding cash changing hands at collection.

Do you accept commercial vehicles in Filton?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, we accept vans and light commercial vehicles in Filton, including panel vans, pick-ups and minibuses. The quote process is the same: enter the registration number and postcode, then review the offer. Heavier working vehicles can sometimes return a stronger price because weight, usable parts and salvage potential can all influence the final valuation.
