Customers love us

Quick, easy, great service, decent price.
Organised it to be collected, driver (Tony) was in contact throughout the collection day to keep me posted. 10 minutes and I was paid and he was gone! Great service, Tony was very friendly and efficient. Definitely will use this service again in the future, been with WeBuyAnyCar a few times and for convenience, this blows them out of the water (all circumstantial of course). Couldn’t have asked for more, really helpful.

They do what they say they do. Excellent.
I was contacted well in advance regarding the collection of my vehicle. Steve the driver phoned me and asked if he could collect sooner than booked. This was OK with me. When he arrived he was friendly and courteous and because of the advanced notification, gave me time to have everything ready for the handover. The money was transferred to my account within minutes. A great service and one that I would recommend to anyone wanting to dispose of a vehicle.

Highly recommended !!
Car.co.uk offered the best price by far out of all the sites I had got quotes from. The whole process was really easy to arrange and sort out a collection. I had a few enquiries and the different guys that I spoke to at customer enquiries was really friendly and helpful. I asked for an early/ first pick up and was told they would do their best. The night before I received a text asking if a 6:30am pick up would be possible. I agreed. Earlier the better for me. The morning of the pick up I had a call from the driver (John) who informed me he wasn’t far and sure enough he arrived on the agreed time. When he arrived he was so helpful and really friendly. The car was on the back of the lorry and paperwork sorted all within 15 mins. Can’t recommend these guys enough and I would definitely use again.

Great service
I recently had my old car collected and I couldn’t be happier with the service. From start to finish, everything was handled smoothly and I was kept informed throughout the whole process. The driver, Roy, was excellent – really friendly, professional, and informative, which made the whole experience easy and stress-free. The payment was transferred instantly upon collection, which was a huge plus. Overall, a fantastic service and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to scrap their car.

Scrap my car in Bicester FAQs

How much is my scrap car worth in Bicester?
Dropdown Icon

Enter your car registration and postcode to see the price for your scrap, compare live scrap car prices and decide whether the quote gives you the best scrap car deal.

Do I need to be present for the collection in Bicester?
Dropdown Icon

No, you do not need to be present when we collect your car in Bicester. You can nominate an adult aged 18 or over, provided they have access to the vehicle, photo ID, keys and paperwork. Tell us beforehand so collection can proceed securely and the bank transfer can be released without delays.

Can I scrap a car without a V5C logbook?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can scrap a car without a V5C log book in many cases. You need photo ID, proof of address and evidence connecting you to the vehicle, such as an MOT certificate, purchase receipt or service history. Ownership checks may take slightly longer before collection and secure payment can be arranged.

Do I need to notify the DVLA when I scrap my car?
Dropdown Icon

No, you do not need to notify the DVLA separately when the eligible vehicle is processed through Car.co.uk. We handle the notification as part of the Certificate of Destruction process, using the V5C details you provide. Once the record is updated, the previous keeper is removed and further responsibility ends.

How long does it take to scrap my car in Bicester?
Dropdown Icon

Same-day or next-day collection is available in most cases in Bicester. You can get a price online in under 30 seconds, choose a suitable slot during booking and receive payment by bank transfer at collection. Our guide explains what to do with the V5C log book, so the handover remains simple, properly recorded and compliant without avoidable delays.

Will I receive a Certificate of Destruction?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you will receive a Certificate of Destruction within seven days when the vehicle is scrapped and eligible. It confirms the car entered the end-of-life process, while DVLA notification removes the previous keeper from the official record and ends further responsibility.

Can I scrap a car with outstanding finance?
Dropdown Icon

No, outstanding finance must usually be settled before a vehicle is scrapped, unless the lender gives written consent. The finance provider retains a legal interest, so contact it and check the agreement first. Once the balance or permission is resolved, you can complete the quote and collection process without unnecessary delays.

What is the difference between scrapping and salvaging?
Dropdown Icon

Scrapping means a vehicle is depolluted, dismantled and recycled mainly for metal value under end-of-life rules. Salvaging means it still has enough value to be sold whole or broken for reusable parts. Car.co.uk assesses both routes and uses the outcome expected to return the stronger value to the owner.

How do I avoid scrap car scams in Bicester?
Dropdown Icon

Use a licensed, reviewed service to avoid scrap car scams in Bicester. Warning signs include cash-in-hand offers, unlicensed collectors, pressure to hand over the vehicle quickly, missing paperwork and last-minute price reductions. Legitimate scrap payments are made by bank transfer under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013. Check reviews, confirm licensing, keep the agreed price in writing and ask how DVLA records will be updated before collection.
