A Top-Tier Car Selling Experience
I just sold my car with Car.co.uk and I have to say, the whole process was incredibly smooth. I got an online quote, and everything went exactly as they said it would. The collection was scheduled at my house, which was super convenient. The driver was a true professional—they were not only efficient but also very kind. As soon as the car was collected, the payment landed in my bank account immediately, which was a fantastic surprise. I highly recommend Car.co.uk for anyone looking to sell their car without any hassle.

Highly recommend - 10/10 service
Whole process was really easy and completely fuss free from start to finish. Entered my postcode and registration online and was given a price straight away without having to sign up to anything. The price offered was better than anywhere else. Selected a date and time that suited me for collection and booked in a matter of minutes. Really clear information was given about the collection process via email. Collection day arrived and the guy who came was really friendly. Quick check of the car, loaded onto the truck and received the money within minutes. I would highly recommend this company as it was so easy, no hidden terms and conditions and an all round great experience.

Quick, easy, great service, decent price.
Organised it to be collected, driver (Tony) was in contact throughout the collection day to keep me posted. 10 minutes and I was paid and he was gone! Great service, Tony was very friendly and efficient. Definitely will use this service again in the future, been with WeBuyAnyCar a few times and for convenience, this blows them out of the water (all circumstantial of course). Couldn’t have asked for more, really helpful.

Highly recommended !!
Car.co.uk offered the best price by far out of all the sites I had got quotes from. The whole process was really easy to arrange and sort out a collection. I had a few enquiries and the different guys that I spoke to at customer enquiries was really friendly and helpful. I asked for an early/ first pick up and was told they would do their best. The night before I received a text asking if a 6:30am pick up would be possible. I agreed. Earlier the better for me. The morning of the pick up I had a call from the driver (John) who informed me he wasn’t far and sure enough he arrived on the agreed time. When he arrived he was so helpful and really friendly. The car was on the back of the lorry and paperwork sorted all within 15 mins. Can’t recommend these guys enough and I would definitely use again.

Do I need to be present for the collection in Ashton-under-Lyne?
Dropdown Icon

You can ask someone else to hand the vehicle over, as long as they're over 18 and have photo ID, access to the car and any agreed paperwork. Collection can still go ahead if you cannot attend yourself, and we'll tell you what to do in advance to keep things hassle free.

Can I scrap a car without a V5C logbook?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can scrap a car that doesn't have a V5C logbook, but you'll need photo ID, proof of address and supporting records such as MOT certificates and service history instead. A missing logbook can make our car recycling services take slightly longer than normal.

Do I need to provide keys for my car?
Dropdown Icon

No, you don't need to provide keys for us to scrap your car. Missing keys are a common issue, but won't prevent collection or affect the quoted price. We can still load your vehicle using specialist equipment, so don't worry.

Dropdown Icon

Yes, it's possible to scrap a SORN vehicle in Ashton-under-Lyne. A SORN scrap vehicle doesn't need to be taxed or insured for collection, but it can't be driven on a public road, so you'll need to have it collected from a private or off-road address. When you scrap your car online, the CoD removes the SORN status automatically.

What documents do I need to scrap my car in Ashton-under-Lyne?

Dropdown Icon

Yes, if you request a Certificate of Destruction, we'll issue one within 7 days of processing. Car.co.uk handles all DVLA notifications automatically, and the CoD will remove you from the DVLA register, ending further responsibility.

Can I scrap a car with outstanding finance?
Dropdown Icon

No, any outstanding finance must be settled before you can scrap your car. The finance company can give consent, but you'll need to contact them for a settlement figure or written authority. Lenders retain a legal interest in the vehicle until your agreement with them ends, but we can explain what you need to do before anything moves forward.

How long does it take to scrap my car in Ashton-under-Lyne?
Dropdown Icon

You can get a quote online in under 30 seconds, then choose a time for scrap car collection. Payment is made by bank transfer once we have your car. What is the difference between scrapping and salvaging?
Dropdown Icon

Scrapping is when a vehicle is dismantled and recycled for scrap metal value under the ELV directive. Salvaging is when a vehicle still has enough value to be resold whole or broken down for parts. Car.co.uk will assess both routes before collection to ensure you get the best price for your car.
