Customers love us

They do what they say they do. Excellent.
I was contacted well in advance regarding the collection of my vehicle. Steve the driver phoned me and asked if he could collect sooner than booked. This was OK with me. When he arrived he was friendly and courteous and because of the advanced notification, gave me time to have everything ready for the handover. The money was transferred to my account within minutes. A great service and one that I would recommend to anyone wanting to dispose of a vehicle.

Highly recommend - 10/10 service
Whole process was really easy and completely fuss free from start to finish. Entered my postcode and registration online and was given a price straight away without having to sign up to anything. The price offered was better than anywhere else. Selected a date and time that suited me for collection and booked in a matter of minutes. Really clear information was given about the collection process via email. Collection day arrived and the guy who came was really friendly. Quick check of the car, loaded onto the truck and received the money within minutes. I would highly recommend this company as it was so easy, no hidden terms and conditions and an all round great experience.

Highly recommended !!
Car.co.uk offered the best price by far out of all the sites I had got quotes from. The whole process was really easy to arrange and sort out a collection. I had a few enquiries and the different guys that I spoke to at customer enquiries was really friendly and helpful. I asked for an early/ first pick up and was told they would do their best. The night before I received a text asking if a 6:30am pick up would be possible. I agreed. Earlier the better for me. The morning of the pick up I had a call from the driver (John) who informed me he wasn’t far and sure enough he arrived on the agreed time. When he arrived he was so helpful and really friendly. The car was on the back of the lorry and paperwork sorted all within 15 mins. Can’t recommend these guys enough and I would definitely use again.

How much is my scrap car worth in Surbiton?
Dropdown Icon

The average local scrap price is £264. Your car value depends on weight, condition, make, model, metal rates and reusable parts. Enter your car registration and postcode to see scrap car prices, check the price for your scrap and decide whether the offer gives you the best scrap car deal before booking collection anywhere in Surbiton today locally.

Do I need to be present for the collection in Surbiton?
Dropdown Icon

No, you do not need to be present for collection in Surbiton. You can nominate an adult aged 18 or over, provided they have access to the vehicle, photo ID, keys if available and agreed paperwork. Tell us beforehand who will meet the driver so the handover can proceed securely without unnecessary delays.

Can I scrap a car without a V5C logbook?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can scrap a car without a V5C logbook. You will usually need photo ID, proof of address and evidence connecting you to the vehicle, such as an MOT certificate or service history. Ownership checks can take slightly longer before collection and payment are fully approved.

How does scrap car payment work?
Dropdown Icon

Payment is made by bank transfer, not cash. UK scrap metal rules prohibit cash payments for scrap vehicles. The agreed amount is released once the vehicle and collection details are checked, giving you a clear transaction record without collection-day cash handling, last-minute haggling, hidden deductions or further uncertainty today.

Can I scrap a SORN vehicle in Surbiton?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, a SORN vehicle can be scrapped in Surbiton. It does not need tax or insurance for collection, but it cannot be driven on public roads. Arrange pickup from private land or another off-road location. After an eligible vehicle is processed, the DVLA record can be updated through the correct end-of-life route without driving it.

What documents do I need to scrap my car in Surbiton?
Dropdown Icon

Service records, purchase documents or MOT paperwork can help support ownership, and we explain what to prepare before the driver arrives for your scheduled collection day.

Will I receive a Certificate of Destruction?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, a Certificate of Destruction is issued for a vehicle that is scrapped and eligible. It records entry into the end-of-life process and supports the DVLA update, helping remove the previous keeper from the record so responsibility ends properly.

Can I scrap a car with outstanding finance?
Dropdown Icon

No, outstanding finance normally needs to be settled before the vehicle is scrapped, unless the lender gives written permission. The finance company retains a legal interest until the agreement ends, so contact it for a settlement figure or consent before booking. We can explain what evidence should be ready for collection.
