Excellent service from start to finish
Excellent service from start to finish. Selected the exact day I wanted the vehicle picking up. Had a message on day of collection saying the drivers name and that he was on his way. Within no time he was here and very friendly and professional. Car was loaded and within 2 minutes of paperwork completed the money was in my account.

Quick Service and Instant Payment
I recently used a car scrapping service and was really impressed with how quick and straightforward the whole process was. From the moment I contacted them, everything was handled professionally. They arranged collection at a time that suited me, and the driver was polite and efficient. What really stood out was how quickly they transferred the payment — the money went straight into my bank account immediately after the car was collected. There was no hassle, no hidden fees, and everything was exactly as promised. If you’re looking for a smooth, no-stress way to scrap your car and get paid on the spot, I’d definitely recommend this service.

Highly recommended !!
Car.co.uk offered the best price by far out of all the sites I had got quotes from. The whole process was really easy to arrange and sort out a collection. I had a few enquiries and the different guys that I spoke to at customer enquiries was really friendly and helpful. I asked for an early/ first pick up and was told they would do their best. The night before I received a text asking if a 6:30am pick up would be possible. I agreed. Earlier the better for me. The morning of the pick up I had a call from the driver (John) who informed me he wasn’t far and sure enough he arrived on the agreed time. When he arrived he was so helpful and really friendly. The car was on the back of the lorry and paperwork sorted all within 15 mins. Can’t recommend these guys enough and I would definitely use again.

Scrap your Alfa Romeo FAQs

What do I do to declare my Alfa Romeo off the road?
Dropdown Icon

Declaring your Alfa Romeo off-road requires a Statutory Off Road Notification (SORN) with the DVLA. We can help take care of this paperwork for you at Car.co.uk.

Do you guarantee prices when I scrap my old Alfa Romeo?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, your quote is guaranteed once you’ve accurately described the condition. Your price is typically based on normal scrap conditions, which means that it's on four wheels, with a battery, a full exhaust system with a catalytic converter, and no major parts removed. If your car is not in this condition, we may be able to offer you salvage or non-scrap offers.

Does Alfa Romeo hold its value?
Dropdown Icon

Alfa Romeos tend to be prone to depreciation at a fast rate, especially in the first few years, depreciating by 50% in 3-5 years in many cases. Certain models, such as 4C, hold their value better, and if properly maintained, they can still be a solid investment for enthusiasts.

Is the scrap price for my Alfa Romeo guaranteed?
Dropdown Icon

We can guarantee the price of your Alfa Romeo for 7 days after we’ve provided you with a quote. After this, prices can fluctuate based on market changes that affect the value of steel, aluminium, and other scrap metal components.

I’m going to scrap my Alfa Romeo, but I want to keep the private number plate on it. Can I do that?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can keep your private number plate when you scrap your Alfa Romeo, but you must ensure that you follow the legal process outlined on the DVLA website. We can help handle the paperwork for you with Car.co.uk, but you’ll need to put the plate on “retention” for an £80 fee before you scrap the car.

Even though I’m scrapping my old Alfa Romeo, can I keep my stereo?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you are free to take your stereo with you when scrapping your Alfa Romeo, especially if it’s an aftermarket stereo. The car's value might decrease slightly if you remove any original parts, and you would need to give us prior notice.

Do I need to inform the DVLA when scrapping my Alfa Romeo?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, it’s a legal requirement to inform the DVLA when you scrap your Alfa Romeo to avoid incurring penalties. You’ll also still be responsible for tax and insurance if it’s not officially logged.
