We received a very competitive quote…
We received a very competitive quote from Car.co.uk for my car and from the start they were very efficient with their quote which was easy to understand. After accepting their quote they kept me fully informed of the procedure and made it clear and simple. We agreed a collection date and they arrived on time with two polite and helpful driver and assistant and they loaded my car and left very quickly. The agreed price was paid by Car.co.uk and the money was in my Bank before the driver left. I would highly recommend this Company.

Highly recommended !!
Car.co.uk offered the best price by far out of all the sites I had got quotes from. The whole process was really easy to arrange and sort out a collection. I had a few enquiries and the different guys that I spoke to at customer enquiries was really friendly and helpful. I asked for an early/ first pick up and was told they would do their best. The night before I received a text asking if a 6:30am pick up would be possible. I agreed. Earlier the better for me. The morning of the pick up I had a call from the driver (John) who informed me he wasn’t far and sure enough he arrived on the agreed time. When he arrived he was so helpful and really friendly. The car was on the back of the lorry and paperwork sorted all within 15 mins. Can’t recommend these guys enough and I would definitely use again.

A Top-Tier Car Selling Experience
I just sold my car with Car.co.uk and I have to say, the whole process was incredibly smooth. I got an online quote, and everything went exactly as they said it would. The collection was scheduled at my house, which was super convenient. The driver was a true professional—they were not only efficient but also very kind. As soon as the car was collected, the payment landed in my bank account immediately, which was a fantastic surprise. I highly recommend Car.co.uk for anyone looking to sell their car without any hassle.

First class company
There's a very good reason why this company has such a high trust pilot rating, and it's not because of bots or ai fake reviews!! It's nice to leave a good review for a genuinely well run and professional outfit. Firstly , they offer the best price. Secondly , no sucking in of air or false advertising, put in reg, they give you a price, simple.... The pick up driver Shaun was very polite, concise and to the point. From begining to end a good experience, and a well deserved reputation.

Scrap my car in Woking FAQs

How much is my scrap car worth in Woking?
Dropdown Icon

The average scrap car price in Woking is £267. The value of your vehicle is based on factors such as its weight, condition, make, model, current scrap metal prices, and any reusable parts. Simply enter your vehicle registration and postcode to get an instant valuation, compare scrap car prices, and find out whether you're getting the best deal for your car.

Do I need to be present for the collection in Woking?
Dropdown Icon

No, you do not need to be present when we collect your car in Woking. You can nominate an adult aged 18 or over, provided they have access to the vehicle, photo ID, keys and paperwork. Tell us beforehand so collection can proceed securely without delays or confusion on the day.

Can I scrap a car without a V5C logbook?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can scrap a car without a V5C log book. You need photo ID, proof of address and evidence connecting you to the vehicle, such as an MOT certificate, receipt or service history. Ownership checks may take slightly longer before collection and secure payment can be arranged locally.

Do you accept commercial vehicles in Woking?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, we accept vans and light commercial vehicles in Woking, including panel vans, pick-ups and minibuses. Local trades and service vehicles are covered, and the quote process uses your registration and postcode. Vans can return a higher price than cars because their greater kerb weight usually means more recyclable metal available for responsible recycling.

Can I scrap a car that is not registered in my name?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can scrap a car that isn't registered in your name, although certain conditions apply. Where possible, the registered keeper should provide written permission. If that's not possible, you'll need to show a valid reason for possessing the vehicle, such as it being a gift, part of an inheritance, or from a deceased person's estate. You'll also need to provide photo ID and supporting documents, such as a gift letter, will, or statutory declaration. If you're unsure what documentation is required, Car.co.uk can advise you before you book your collection.

What documents do I need to scrap my car in Woking?
Dropdown Icon

You'll need your V5C logbook to scrap your car in Woking, along with a photo ID and proof of address. If your V5C logbook is missing, you can still usually proceed with alternative paperwork, and we'll guide you through the documents needed so everything is handled compliantly.

Will I receive a Certificate of Destruction?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you will receive a Certificate of Destruction within seven days when the vehicle is scrapped and eligible. It confirms entry into the end-of-life process, while DVLA notification removes the previous keeper from the record and ends further responsibility.

Can I scrap a car with outstanding finance?
Dropdown Icon

No, outstanding finance must be settled before a vehicle is scrapped, unless the lender gives written consent. The finance provider retains a legal interest, so contact it and check the agreement first. Once the balance or permission is resolved, you can complete the quote and collection process without unnecessary delays or complications in Woking.

How do I avoid scrap car scams in Woking?
Dropdown Icon

Use a licensed service to avoid scrap car scams in Woking. Unlicensed collectors may offer cash, cut the price or skip paperwork. Legitimate payments are made by bank transfer under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013, so check licensing and reject cash-in-hand offers. Car.co.uk provides a quote, licensed collection and Certificate of Destruction support when eligible, helping protect you from DVLA or ownership problems.

Can I scrap a car with no MOT in Woking?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can scrap a car with no MOT in Woking. MOT status does not prevent valuation or collection, and the vehicle only needs recovery access. This helps when mileage or congestion has made brake, tyre, suspension or battery repairs uneconomical, because we can collect the car without asking you to drive it.
