A Top-Tier Car Selling Experience
I just sold my car with Car.co.uk and I have to say, the whole process was incredibly smooth. I got an online quote, and everything went exactly as they said it would. The collection was scheduled at my house, which was super convenient. The driver was a true professional—they were not only efficient but also very kind. As soon as the car was collected, the payment landed in my bank account immediately, which was a fantastic surprise. I highly recommend Car.co.uk for anyone looking to sell their car without any hassle.

Quick, easy, great service, decent price.
Organised it to be collected, driver (Tony) was in contact throughout the collection day to keep me posted. 10 minutes and I was paid and he was gone! Great service, Tony was very friendly and efficient. Definitely will use this service again in the future, been with WeBuyAnyCar a few times and for convenience, this blows them out of the water (all circumstantial of course). Couldn’t have asked for more, really helpful.

They do what they say they do. Excellent.
I was contacted well in advance regarding the collection of my vehicle. Steve the driver phoned me and asked if he could collect sooner than booked. This was OK with me. When he arrived he was friendly and courteous and because of the advanced notification, gave me time to have everything ready for the handover. The money was transferred to my account within minutes. A great service and one that I would recommend to anyone wanting to dispose of a vehicle.

Highly recommended !!
Car.co.uk offered the best price by far out of all the sites I had got quotes from. The whole process was really easy to arrange and sort out a collection. I had a few enquiries and the different guys that I spoke to at customer enquiries was really friendly and helpful. I asked for an early/ first pick up and was told they would do their best. The night before I received a text asking if a 6:30am pick up would be possible. I agreed. Earlier the better for me. The morning of the pick up I had a call from the driver (John) who informed me he wasn’t far and sure enough he arrived on the agreed time. When he arrived he was so helpful and really friendly. The car was on the back of the lorry and paperwork sorted all within 15 mins. Can’t recommend these guys enough and I would definitely use again.

Scrap my car in Blyth FAQs

How much is my scrap car worth in Blyth?
Dropdown Icon

The average price paid in Blyth is £236. Your car value depends on weight, condition, make, model, metal values and reusable parts. Enter your car registration and postcode to see scrap car prices, check the price for your scrap and decide whether the offer gives you the best scrap car deal before booking.

Do I need to be present for the collection in Blyth?
Dropdown Icon

No, you do not need to be present for collection in Blyth. You can nominate an adult aged 18 or over, provided they have access to the vehicle, photo ID and agreed paperwork. Tell us beforehand so the driver can complete the handover securely and keep collection running smoothly.

Can I scrap a car without a V5C logbook?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can scrap a car without a V5C logbook. You need photo ID, proof of address and evidence linking you to the vehicle, such as an MOT certificate or purchase receipt. Ownership checks may take slightly longer before your collection can be approved in Blyth.

Do I need to provide keys for my car?
Dropdown Icon

No, you do not always need keys for your car. Missing keys are common and may not prevent collection, because specialist equipment can load many vehicles safely. Tell us when booking so the collector can confirm access requirements and bring suitable recovery equipment on the day for your vehicle.

Can I scrap a SORN vehicle in Blyth?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can scrap a SORN vehicle in Blyth. It does not need tax or insurance for collection, but it must not be driven on a public road. Recovery should take place from a private or off-road address where the vehicle can be accessed safely. DVLA records are then fully updated after the vehicle completes the approved end-of-life process.

What documents do I need to scrap my car in Blyth?
Dropdown Icon

You normally need the V5C logbook, photo ID and proof of address. If the logbook is missing, collection may still be possible once alternative ownership evidence is checked. We explain what to prepare before pickup so the handover remains straightforward, properly recorded and compliant at your Blyth address without unnecessary delays on collection day.

Will I receive a Certificate of Destruction?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, a Certificate of Destruction can be issued when the vehicle is scrapped and eligible. It confirms the car entered the end-of-life process, while DVLA notification removes the previous keeper from the record and ends further responsibility for the vehicle.

Can I scrap a car with outstanding finance?
Dropdown Icon

No, outstanding finance normally needs to be settled before the vehicle is scrapped, unless the lender provides clear consent. The finance company retains a legal interest until the agreement ends, so contact it for a settlement figure or written permission before arranging collection. Once this is resolved, your booking can proceed without unnecessary delay.

Can I scrap a car that is not registered in my name?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, but you need clear authority to dispose of a vehicle that is not registered in your name. Written permission from the keeper, estate documents, proof of purchase or other evidence may be required. Have photo ID and proof of address ready, and allow extra time for ownership checks before the vehicle is collected and processed through the licensed network for final disposal.

Can I scrap an electric or hybrid car in Blyth?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, electric and hybrid cars can be scrapped in Blyth. Battery-electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids and mild hybrids are accepted, while trained staff manage high-voltage isolation, battery removal and recycling through an authorised treatment facility. This keeps the process safe, documented and compliant from collection through final disposal, with battery handling completed by trained staff.
