To declare your VW off the road, you’ll need to complete a SORN (Statutory Off-Road Notification) application on the DVLA website. It’s important that you’re aware this means you cannot store or drive your vehicle on a public highway though – so you should read the terms and conditions carefully before you do.

That’s no problem. A Certificate of Destruction is issued by the DVLA when they receive notification from an authorised treatment facility (ATF) that your car has been processed according to their guidelines. Since all our partner scrap yards meet this standard, they will be sent a copy of your COD and they will forward a copy to you.
