Car.co.uk gave me a reasonable price
Car.co.uk gave me a reasonable price to scrap my car, all the booking online was straightforward and they were able to collect it the next working day. The driver let me know exactly when he was coming and 2 minutes after he had arrived, the car was gone with no issues. He was very polite and friendly. No complaints :)

First class company
There's a very good reason why this company has such a high trust pilot rating, and it's not because of bots or ai fake reviews!! It's nice to leave a good review for a genuinely well run and professional outfit. Firstly , they offer the best price. Secondly , no sucking in of air or false advertising, put in reg, they give you a price, simple.... The pick up driver Shaun was very polite, concise and to the point. From begining to end a good experience, and a well deserved reputation.

Very easy transaction.
Very easy transaction. Easy to book, collection person phoned to say exactly what time they were arriving. I just left him to it and collection took around 10 mins including taking photos of my id and the car. Sad to see my car go as its been a really good car but too much wrong with it now. Payment was not immediate, took around an hour and a half. No fuss, no sweat, very easy.

A Top-Tier Car Selling Experience
I just sold my car with Car.co.uk and I have to say, the whole process was incredibly smooth. I got an online quote, and everything went exactly as they said it would. The collection was scheduled at my house, which was super convenient. The driver was a true professional—they were not only efficient but also very kind. As soon as the car was collected, the payment landed in my bank account immediately, which was a fantastic surprise. I highly recommend Car.co.uk for anyone looking to sell their car without any hassle.

bulb-icon

The average kerb weight of scrapped Nissans was 1,255 kg, reflecting the brand's popularity in compact and midsize markets.

bulb-icon

The highest mileage on a Nissan we scrapped was 298,558. This Primera model went much farther than the average (112,595), making it an outlier in our data.

bulb-icon

We scrap Nissans at any age, including a Nissan Bluebird that came to us at 39 years old, which was registered in 1986.

The lowest mileage we recorded for a Nissan was a Qashqai with only 10,963 miles. This is likely the result of an accident that meant it wasn’t roadworthy anymore.

Scrap your Nissan FAQs

Can I scrap my Nissan if I still have outstanding road tax?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can still scrap your Nissan even if there is outstanding road tax, as the scrapping process at an ATF is separate from settling your tax arrears. The outstanding tax debt will still need to be settled, and this will remain your responsibility for any period during which it was untaxed and officially declared off-road.

How much is my scrap Nissan worth?
Dropdown Icon

Prices can vary, but Nissan’s are typically worth between £150 and £400. You can obtain an online quote using your registration number to estimate the fair metal value, as well as the potential for salvageable parts, with Car.co.uk.

What factors impact the scrap value of my Nissan?
Dropdown Icon

The scrap value for Nissans is determined by the weight of your vehicle (heavier vehicles contain more recyclable materials), current scrap metal market prices, the vehicle's condition, and its completeness.

Will you collect my scrap Nissan if it doesn’t have any wheels?
Dropdown Icon

No, it’s typically not possible to collect a scrap Nissan with no wheels. This is because standard winches won’t work and require specialist equipment to transport. If your car is missing only one or two wheels and can still be safely rolled or winched, or if they’ve been temporarily removed, we may still be able to help.

What documents do I need to scrap my car?
Dropdown Icon

You’ll need your V5C logbook, photo ID, and proof of address, as well as bank details to process your payment to scrap your car. These are required by the ATF, who can then issue a COD to process your Nissan and secure any tax refunds legally.

Can I scrap a Nissan that’s been in an accident?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can scrap your Nissan even if it’s been in an accident. The price you can get for your vehicle depends on the extent of the damage and whether your car has been declared as a write-off.
