The driver, Roy, was excellent – really friendly, professional, and informative, which made the whole experience easy and stress-free. The payment was transferred instantly upon collection, which was a huge plus. Overall, a fantastic service and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to scrap their car.

Highly recommend - 10/10 service
Whole process was really easy and completely fuss free from start to finish. Entered my postcode and registration online and was given a price straight away without having to sign up to anything. The price offered was better than anywhere else. Selected a date and time that suited me for collection and booked in a matter of minutes. Really clear information was given about the collection process via email. Collection day arrived and the guy who came was really friendly. Quick check of the car, loaded onto the truck and received the money within minutes. I would highly recommend this company as it was so easy, no hidden terms and conditions and an all round great experience.

Quick, easy, great service, decent price.
Organised it to be collected, driver (Tony) was in contact throughout the collection day to keep me posted. 10 minutes and I was paid and he was gone! Great service, Tony was very friendly and efficient. Definitely will use this service again in the future, been with WeBuyAnyCar a few times and for convenience, this blows them out of the water (all circumstantial of course). Couldn’t have asked for more, really helpful.

Scrap Mazda statistics in the UK

bulb-icon

The lowest mileage count we’ve seen on a scrap Mazda is just 861, from a Mazda2. Car scrapping isn’t just for well-driven old vehicles. Your Mazda could be damaged beyond repair at virtually any age or mileage.

bulb-icon

The highest mileage count we’ve seen on a scrap Mazda was a massive 331,538 miles. This was from a Mazda6, and stands out as a huge outlier. With enough care, a Mazda can live well beyond the 117,857-mile average.

bulb-icon

Both the youngest and oldest scrap Mazda we’ve handled has been a Mazda3, with the youngest from 2017 and the oldest from 1987. Whether your car is 8 or 38 years old, it could end up in a scrapyard.

bulb-icon

92.35% of the scrap Mazdas we’ve seen have been manual, while just 6.1% have been automatic. This shows how dominant manual has been for decades, though automatics are slowly growing and could tip this balance.

Scrap your Mazda FAQs

What is the value of scrap metal from my Mazda?
Dropdown Icon

Scrap Mazdas generally fetch between £200 and £400, though this depends on the car’s model and weight, plus the current market value of scrap metal. Heavier models sell for more, and you could get a better deal if your Mazda has any high-value components.

Why is my Mazda failing its MOT, and is it better to scrap it?
Dropdown Icon

Common causes of Mazda MOT failures include rust, suspension problems, brake faults, and electrical issues - scrapping might promise a better deal than fixing any of these. Car.co.uk is happy to take MOT failures; these still have plenty of value to our partner yards.

Can damaged Mazdas still be scrapped?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, Mazdas can be scrapped regardless of condition; even if it won’t start, we can simply tow it to a yard. So long as your car still has wheels, we can still scrap your Mazda. Even motors that don’t start could have plenty of valuable parts and scrap metal.

Should I scrap my Mazda if it has high mileage?
Dropdown Icon

Once any vehicle, including a Mazda, reaches 125,000 miles, repairs usually get much pricier, and may even exceed the car’s value. Mazdas last a long while if they’re well-maintained, but watch out for rust or even minor breakdowns; these could mean it’s time to scrap your Mazda.

What common faults make a Mazda too expensive to fix?
Dropdown Icon

If your Mazda has water pump failures, VVT actuator issues, automatic transmission failures, or problems with diesel systems, your repair might exceed the value of your car. You should also consider whether these issues are a one-time fix or could lead to more repairs down the road.

What documents do I need to scrap a Mazda?
Dropdown Icon

To scrap your Mazda, you’ll need your V5C Logbook (proof of ownership), photo ID (proof of identity), and another document proving your address. You’ll also need to deregister your car using a Certificate of Destruction afterwards; we’ll make sure you get this within 7 days.
