We received a very competitive quote…
We received a very competitive quote from Car.co.uk for my car and from the start they were very efficient with their quote which was easy to understand. After accepting their quote they kept me fully informed of the procedure and made it clear and simple. We agreed a collection date and they arrived on time with two polite and helpful driver and assistant and they loaded my car and left very quickly. The agreed price was paid by Car.co.uk and the money was in my Bank before the driver left. I would highly recommend this Company.

Highly recommend - 10/10 service
Whole process was really easy and completely fuss free from start to finish. Entered my postcode and registration online and was given a price straight away without having to sign up to anything. The price offered was better than anywhere else. Selected a date and time that suited me for collection and booked in a matter of minutes. Really clear information was given about the collection process via email. Collection day arrived and the guy who came was really friendly. Quick check of the car, loaded onto the truck and received the money within minutes. I would highly recommend this company as it was so easy, no hidden terms and conditions and an all round great experience.

Highly recommended !!
Car.co.uk offered the best price by far out of all the sites I had got quotes from. The whole process was really easy to arrange and sort out a collection. I had a few enquiries and the different guys that I spoke to at customer enquiries was really friendly and helpful. I asked for an early/ first pick up and was told they would do their best. The night before I received a text asking if a 6:30am pick up would be possible. I agreed. Earlier the better for me. The morning of the pick up I had a call from the driver (John) who informed me he wasn’t far and sure enough he arrived on the agreed time. When he arrived he was so helpful and really friendly. The car was on the back of the lorry and paperwork sorted all within 15 mins. Can’t recommend these guys enough and I would definitely use again.

Great service
I recently had my old car collected and I couldn’t be happier with the service. From start to finish, everything was handled smoothly and I was kept informed throughout the whole process. The driver, Roy, was excellent – really friendly, professional, and informative, which made the whole experience easy and stress-free. The payment was transferred instantly upon collection, which was a huge plus. Overall, a fantastic service and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to scrap their car.

Scrap Subaru statistics in the UK

bulb-icon

The highest-mileage Subaru we’ve scrapped in the UK is an Outback with 233,172 miles on the clock, much higher than the 127,437-mile average. This shows how long Subarus can live if they’re well maintained.

bulb-icon

69.33% of the Subarus we’ve scrapped had manual transmissions. Automatics still made up 28.22%, and are slowly becoming more popular in homes and scrapyards, even though most UK cars are still manual.

bulb-icon

The youngest scrap Subaru we’ve handled was an 8-year-old XV, which shows that new models can still end up in a scrapyard after a serious accident when further repairs are uneconomical.

bulb-icon

The average kerb weight of the Subarus we’ve scrapped in the UK was 1420 kilograms. While that’s not the heaviest, it’s still above our average vehicle scrap weight of 1366 kilograms.

Scrap your Subaru FAQs

Can I scrap my Subaru if it’s been sitting unused for months or years?
Dropdown Icon

Yes - many Subarus we collect haven’t moved in a long time, often because repair costs would just keep stacking up or the car slowly became redundant. As long as you own the vehicle, that’s enough. It doesn’t need to start, drive, or even have a working battery. Get a free quote at Car.co.uk to see your options.

Will I lose money if my Subaru has missing parts?
Dropdown Icon

Missing parts don’t automatically mean a bad price, but they can affect it. For example, a missing catalytic converter or gearbox may reduce the value slightly. That said, plenty of Subarus that we scrap are incomplete, especially older ones, and they’re still worth a lot.

Is scrapping my Subaru better than trying to sell it privately?
Dropdown Icon

Scrapping is better than trying to sell for many owners because selling privately can drag on, especially if the car has faults, warning lights or MOT issues. You end up dealing with messages, viewings and negotiations that go nowhere. Scrapping is straightforward. You get a clear price, free collection and fast payment. When you’re ready to scrap, get a free quote from us to learn about your options.

Do I need to be present when my Subaru is collected?
Dropdown Icon

You don’t always need to be present - if your Subaru is accessible and you’ve already provided the necessary details, you don’t have to be there in person. Many owners leave keys with a neighbour or in a secure location. This is especially helpful if work or childcare makes scheduling awkward. We’ll still pay you instantly after collection.

What paperwork do I need to scrap my Subaru legally?
Dropdown Icon

Proof that you own the Subaru is typically enough paperwork for us to scrap your Subaru. Car.co.uk handles all the DVLA notifications for you, which removes a common headache, but if you want extra peace of mind, you can request a Certificate of Destruction once the car is processed to confirm everything has been done properly and legally.
