ATF is short for Authorised Treatment Facility - it's the official name for a registered scrapyard, breaker, dismantler, or recycling business. An authorised facility follows legal guidelines to ensure vehicles go through a depollution process before parts are disposed of or recycled.

The DVLA issues a Certificate of Destruction (COD) to the Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) that scraps your car. All of our scrap Proton collection partners meet government ATF approval, so if you let us know that you require a COD when requesting your quote, our collection partner will send you a copy of your certificate when your car has been scrapped.

The value of your vehicle is based on its weight and its recyclable materials. Any extras or modifications will not affect the scrap value of the vehicle.
