Great service
I recently had my old car collected and I couldn’t be happier with the service. From start to finish, everything was handled smoothly and I was kept informed throughout the whole process. The driver, Roy, was excellent – really friendly, professional, and informative, which made the whole experience easy and stress-free. The payment was transferred instantly upon collection, which was a huge plus. Overall, a fantastic service and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to scrap their car.

They do what they say they do. Excellent.
I was contacted well in advance regarding the collection of my vehicle. Steve the driver phoned me and asked if he could collect sooner than booked. This was OK with me. When he arrived he was friendly and courteous and because of the advanced notification, gave me time to have everything ready for the handover. The money was transferred to my account within minutes. A great service and one that I would recommend to anyone wanting to dispose of a vehicle.

Highly recommended !!
Car.co.uk offered the best price by far out of all the sites I had got quotes from. The whole process was really easy to arrange and sort out a collection. I had a few enquiries and the different guys that I spoke to at customer enquiries was really friendly and helpful. I asked for an early/ first pick up and was told they would do their best. The night before I received a text asking if a 6:30am pick up would be possible. I agreed. Earlier the better for me. The morning of the pick up I had a call from the driver (John) who informed me he wasn’t far and sure enough he arrived on the agreed time. When he arrived he was so helpful and really friendly. The car was on the back of the lorry and paperwork sorted all within 15 mins. Can’t recommend these guys enough and I would definitely use again.

Very easy transaction.
Very easy transaction. Easy to book, collection person phoned to say exactly what time they were arriving. I just left him to it and collection took around 10 mins including taking photos of my id and the car. Sad to see my car go as its been a really good car but too much wrong with it now. Payment was not immediate, took around an hour and a half. No fuss, no sweat, very easy.

Scrap Jeep statistics in the UK

bulb-icon

45% of Jeeps we’ve scrapped have been manual transmission and 54.64% have been automatic. This is relatively unusual in the UK, where most scrap cars are still manual.

bulb-icon

The lowest mileage we’ve seen on a scrap Jeep was a relatively large 57,782. Considering we often scrap cars of other makes with less than 10,000 miles on them, this is testament to Jeep’s great engineering.

bulb-icon

The highest mileage of any Jeep we’ve scrapped was 237,845 (a Jeep Compass). This reflects the broad range of mileage on scrap Jeeps, although it’s less than twice as high as the average mileage (123,165).

The youngest Jeep we’ve scrapped at Car.co.uk was a Jeep Renegade first registered in 2016. It was only 9 years old when it came in for scrapping, and had likely been damaged in an accident.

Scrap your Jeep FAQs

How much is my scrap Jeep worth?
Dropdown Icon

Scrapped Jeeps vary in value from £100 to over £400, with an average of around £250. This depends on weight, current metal market, model, and condition. If there’s extensive damage, the cost of repair for a Jeep can exceed the vehicle's value.

What affects the scrap value of my Jeep?
Dropdown Icon

The scrap value of Jeeps can vary depending on their weight and metal content, as heavier vehicles contain more valuable steel and aluminium. Changes in market prices, make and model, along with age and general condition, can also affect the value of a running Jeep along with a working catalytic converter, which can be used to repurpose valuable precious metals.

Should I scrap my old rusty Jeep if it still runs?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, as heavy rust can pose a number of issues even if the vehicle technically still drives. For example, a rusty Jeep can be a safety hazard, and it’ll likely be too expensive for private buyers to take on as a fixer-upper. Scrapping your old, rusty Jeep can be a better value than costly repairs and get you a higher price than trying to sell it second-hand.

How fast can you pick up my Jeep?
Dropdown Icon

Depending on your location, we can offer same-day or next-day collection, and you can choose your collection time. When you enter your information and receive a quote from us, we can let you know how quickly we can arrange for your Jeep to be picked up.

Can I scrap my electric Jeep car?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, you can scrap your electric Jeep as long as your vehicle goes to an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) that can handle high-voltage EV components for safe removal and repurposing of parts. This is standard practice in reputable scrap companies, including Car.co.uk.

What documents do I need to scrap my Jeep?
Dropdown Icon

To scrap your Jeep, you’ll need your VC5 Logbook to prove ownership, photo ID, and proof of address. You’ll also need a Certificate of Destruction (COD) from the ATF to inform the DVLA that your vehicle has been scrapped and avoid any potential fines.

Do you collect the Jeep from my location?
Dropdown Icon

Yes, we provide nationwide pickup across the UK. Simply fill out our online form, receive a quote, and you can choose your collection spot.
